About Us
Our Roots
In 1928, the original occupant of our location was a grocery store called Serve-You-Well. It is our sincere goal to continue in this spirit of Southern hospitality. Our proprietor, Kay Parker Brackett’s family, has been in Panama City since 1947. Kay’s father, Bill Parker, was one of the original owners of Miracle Strip Amusement Park. Her husband, Les Brackett, is also a born and raised native of Panama City.
The Grocery Kitchen & Taproom is a casual restaurant, cocktail bar, and gathering place in the heart of historic St. Andrews. We offer inside and outside dining with two bars, live music, and fine cigars. This is your place to relax, connect with friends, catch a game, and enjoy an impressive collection of whiskies, fine wine, and over 25 craft beers.
